Our Story

From Aviation and Space Flight to Healthcare

Aviation transformed its safety record through Crew Resource Management — a systematic approach to human error that dramatically reduced accident rates. We were among the first to bring these life-saving principles into clinical practice.

Founded in 1996, Global Air Training began by delivering Crew Resource Management training to airlines, military organisations, and the European Space Agency. As healthcare organisations recognised that the same human factors principles could transform patient safety, we pioneered the introduction of these principles into clinical environments.

Today, we are the pre-eminent provider of Human Factors education for healthcare, trusted by over 100 NHS Trusts and safety-critical healthcare organisations worldwide. Our training doesn't apply aviation principles superficially — every technique is fully developed for the clinical environment.
